"God has a plan...for salvation...and it is worked out through His people"

Exodus 6.14-30

Genealogies are all over the Bible. But what is the purpose? In the Hebrew culture, the Old Testament times, genealogoes were to identify those who were involved in the plan and purpose of God.

It is interesting to explore genealogies because you realize very quickly, just like your and my life, just like your and my family, it is really a mixed bag. You find some very good people and events as well as some very bad people and events. But the assurance we have is that God is still the "Lord". He is still on His throne. He is still in charge of the events and lifes of people and His universe.

But is important to realize that for some reason God has chosen to use you and me in his plan and purpose. And so, in the midst of our sorted lives, leadership, Godly leadership, is important, and what we pass on to those who come behind us is imporatnt.

As we walk by faith in the promises of God, and pass on our faith to those who come behind us,

the plan and purpose of God moves forward.
