Instruments of Grace
This describes our Worship Team and our Music Ministry.

Our desire is to bring God's people into His presence and worship Him in "spirit"

(with our whole heart) and "truth" (with our understanding). We place a great emphasis on music

because we know that God's Holy Spirit uses music to prepare our hearts to receive

(hear and obey) His precious Word. We include contemporary hymns and songs as

well as traditional hymns that have been in the church for hundreds of years.

Singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,

Giving thanks always for all things to God the Father

Women's Ministry
Our Women of Grace host a number events throughout the year, such as a Christmas Tea, A Spring Beach Retreat, Wedding and Baby Showers, as well as provide support and encouragement for women who are going through difficult times. We also have a very active Women's Mentoring Program.

Men's Ministry
The Men of Grace are studying Renovation of the Heart by Dallas Williard on Wednesday mornings at Crossroads Restaurant, 6:30am. All are welcome. There is also an active Men's Mentoring Program, a Men's Retreat in September, and involvement in PromiseKeepers.

Other Ministries at Grace

ADMINISTRATIVE HELPERS: This team is available to help with various administrative duties at the church on either an “as needed” basis or on a regular schedule.

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS: This team provides sound biblical teaching in a practical way on Sunday morning to the church community. Sunday School will include classes in the areas of Biblical Studies, Christian Ministry, and Christian Life. ***

AUDIO TECHNICIANS: This team plans, sets up, monitors the sound for all services at the church.

WORSHIP TEAM: A team of instrumentalists and vocalists who lead the congregation in worship at all Grace Church worship services.

CARE GROUP LEADERS: These ministry leaders give direction and guidance to a group of 10-15 people who are meeting together regularly to study the Bible, pray for each other, reach out to those around them, and build a sense of community.***

CHILDREN’S CHURCH K-3rd Grade: This team organizes and gives leadership to the Sunday Morning program for children (Kindergarten through 3rd grade) during the morning worship service. This ministry involves teaching a Bible lesson, organizing the activities, and/or helping as an assistant.***

CHILDREN’S CHURCH 3 AND 4 YR OLDS: This team organizes and gives leadership to the Sunday Morning program (for 3 and 4 year old children) during the morning worship service. This ministry involves teaching a Bible lesson, organizing activities, and/or helping as an assistant.***

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY: This team coordinates all the activities for our children including Sunday Morning Sunday School, Children’s Church, Vacation Bible School, Special Events, etc. The members of this team include the Children’s Church Coordinators.***

COLLEGE AND INTERNATIONAL: This team coordinates our efforts to reach out to college students and international students in our community. The members of this team would lead the church in hosting international students in their home as well as brainstorming and implementing ways to reach out the various segments of the college community.***

COMMUNION: This team prepares the communion table the first Sunday of each month and makes sure all the utensils are stored after the service.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH: This team directs our efforts to reach out to various segments of our community. The members of this team should lead the church in brainstorming and implementing ways to reach out.***

FINANCIAL SECRETARY: This person or persons records the offerings each Sunday and keeps accurate records of individual giving and total offerings.***

GIDEON’S MINISTRY: The participants in this ministry give leadership to our church’s efforts to participant in the distribution of Bibles through the Gideon’s Ministry.

HOSPITALITY: This team is responsible to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere in the church on Sunday mornings and at all Grace Church events. This includes providing refreshments and places to congregate between programs, arranging information tables, and providing nametags, even for visitors. This team also coordinates Baby Showers, Wedding Showers, meals to members of our congregation, etc

MEDIA/LIBRARY: This team is responsible to set up the library, develop a checkout system for the books and tapes, and maintain the appearance and condition of the room and materials. These people are also responsible for giving away or selling old books and ordering new books.

MEN’S MINISTRY: This ministry plans and implements events design specifically to meet the needs of men. The responsibilities include Men’s Breakfast, Fishing trips, PromiseKeeper events, etc.***

MISSIONS COMMITTEE: This team coordinates short-term mission teams that participate in projects locally and around the world. They also coordinate our involvement with long term missionaries supported by the church.***

NURSERY: This team coordinates our efforts to provide a clean, attractive, well stocked (cribs and toys) place to care for infants during Sunday Morning Sunday School, Worship Services, and other Grace Church Events as needed. This ministry is very important particularly to visitors who might visit Grace Church.***

PRAYER: This team is responsible to create an atmosphere of prayer in the church. This includes designing a prayer strategy in which every member of the church can be involved in prayer. This team coordinates the communication of prayer requests through e-mail and telephone prayer chains. They also coordinate all church prayer events.***

SETUP TEAMS: This team takes responsibility to make sure everything is set up for all Grace Church events. This team should also consistently evaluate the physical needs of our facilities and grounds and takes the initiative to repair and maintain any problems. This group also makes proposals to the elders for any improvements that need to be made to the building and grounds.

SPECIAL EVENTS: This team coordinates all specials events offered throughout the year for both the community and the church family.***

STUDENT MINISTRIES: This team of people gives leadership to the ministry for Jr. High and Sr. High students. The people on this team would work together to give overall leadership to the students, coordinate events, teach Sunday School, disciple students one-on-one and in small groups.***

STEWARDSHIP TEAM: This team oversees the financial health of the church. This team makes sure that the church is operating in a financially integrous and beneficial way. This team discusses and makes proposals to the elders regarding the budget and any change in financial policy.***

SUNDAY INFORMATION GUIDES: This ministry helps people who visit the church by making sure that information on the church is available and assist people in receiving that information.

TAPE MINISTRY: This ministry coordinates our efforts to archive all sermon tapes for duplication for church members and friends. This ministry coordinates and provides tapes for those who miss a weekend, someone who wants a copy of a particular service, or someone working in a ministry during a particular service.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY: This ministry plans and provides events specifically designed to meet the needs of women. The responsibilities include planning women’s luncheons, retreats, etc.***

WORSHIP PLANNING: This ministry creatively plans and orchestrates the worship services of the church. This team could include pastors, audio/video/sound directors, music worship leaders, and other creative planners.***

WORSHIP GREETER/USHER: The welcoming team that assists people into the worship service by greeting people as they come in, handing out bulletins, overseeing the service in general, taking offering, and assisting people where needed.***
