1. We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired
Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete
revelation of His will for the salvation of men and the divine and
final authority for Christian faith and life
(Ps. 19:7-11; Prov. 30:5; Matt. 4:4; 5:18; John 16:12-13;
2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pe. 1:20-21).
2. We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally
existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
(Ex. 20:2-3; Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28:19; John 17:3; 2 Cor. 13:14).
3. We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived
of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross,
a sacrifice for our sins, according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose
bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where at the right hand of
the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and Advocate
(Matt. 1:18-25; Luke 1:31-35; John 1:1,14; Acts 1:9-11;
7:56; 1 Cor. 15:3-4; 1 Tim. 2:5; Heb. 7:25; 8:1).
4. We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ,
and during this age to convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell,
guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living and service
(John 3:5- 8; 16:8,14; Acts 1:8; Rom. 8:9-11; Gal. 5:16, 22-23;
Eph. 1:13-14; Titus 3:5; 1 John 2:20,27).
5. We believe that man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin
and is, therefore, lost, and only through regeneration by the
Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained
(Gen. 1:26-27; 3:1-24; John 3:3-8; Rom. 3:23; 5:12-19;
6:23; Eph. 2:5; Titus 3:5).
6. We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection
provide the only grounds for justification and salvation for
all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ are born
of the Holy Spirit, and thus become children of God
(Is. 53:6; John 1:12; 3:3, 16; 1 Cor. 15:3-4;
Rom. 4:25; 5:1-9; 1 Pe. 1:18-19).
7. We believe that water baptism and the Lord's Supper are ordinances
to be observed by the Church during the present age.
They are, however, not to be regarded as means of salvation
(Matt. 26:26-29; 28:19; 1 Cor. 11:23-26).
8. We believe that the true Church is composed of such persons who through
saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit
and are united together in the Body of Christ of which He is the Head
(Matt. 16:16-18; Acts 2:38-47; 1 Cor. 12:12-14).
9. We believe that only those who are thus members of the true
Church shall be eligible for membership in the local church
(Acts 2:47; Rom. 6:3-5).
10. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the
Church, and that every local church has the right,
under Christ, to decide and govern its own affairs
(Acts 14:23; 1 Cor. 12:12-27; Eph. 1:22-23; 4:12-16;
Col. 1:18; 1 Tim. 3:1-16; Titus 1:5-11).
11. We believe in the personal, premillennial* and imminent coming of
our Lord Jesus Christ and that this "Blessed Hope" has a vital
bearing on the personal life and service of the believer
(Acts 1:11; Rom. 13:12; 1 Thes. 4:13-18; 5:1-8; Titus 2:13;
2 Pe. 3:11-14; Rev. 19-20).
12. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead; of the believer
to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord; of the
unbeliever to judgment and everlasting, conscious punishment
(Dan. 12:2; Matt. 25:46; John 5:29; 1 Cor. 15:51-54; Rev. 20:11-15).
*We recognize that there are many evangelical Christians who hold to other
millennial positions...postmillennial, amillennial. Such positions shall not preclude
a person from membership or leadership in our church.
Our Mission and Vision...
Our Purpose
To glorify God
(Isaiah 43:7)
Our Mission
To grow believers to maturity in Christ,
expanding the church,
locally and around the world.
(Matthew 28.18-20)
Our Vision
We desire to see changed lives, revival in the church, and spiritual awakening and
moral reformation in the community.
We desire to see each believer renewed in their zeal to obey God and to use their unique
personality, giftedness, and talents to reach out with the gospel of Christ Jesus
and disciple those in their spheres of influence.
We desire for Grace Church to be a catalyst in promoting revival and spiritual awakening through mobilizing believers to pray, preaching and teaching the whole counsel of God, growing
believers to maturity in Christ, and equipping them for ministry.
(Isaiah 64:1-4)
